Under the streets of a magic city

An unnoticeable concealed door, and a mysterious concierge, and in a single step you have left the splendid world of the Arts behind the scenes of Paris' world famous Opéra Garnier. Innumerable steps lead into the belly of the 19th Century neo Baroque "Factory of Art". Splendour gives way to sober yet gargantuan functional architecture. The distant echo of a practising orchestra blends into the multitude of noises of tools, as the theatre workshops, which manufacture the technical props for performances, have been moved to the cellars. Snatches of romantic melodies get caught in the alcoves of the former stables. The Phantom of the Opera doesn't appear, but the reality is still magical enough.
